Welcome to Beachside Aesthetics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our services, website, and booking system. By booking an appointment, using our services, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

About Our Services
Beachside Aesthetics is operated by Emilie Masi, a registered Nurse Practitioner, and provides medical-grade aesthetic treatments including:
- Cosmetic injectables (anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers)
- Microneedling and skin rejuvenation treatments
- Body contouring (fat cavitation and RF skin tightening)
- IPL treatments (skin rejuvenation, hair removal, vascular treatments)
- Tattoo removal
- LED light therapy
- Enzyme peels and carbon facials
- Fibroblast plasma treatments
- Skin analysis and consultations
- Medical-grade skincare products
All treatments are performed by qualified, licensed practitioners in accordance with AHPRA guidelines and TGA regulations.
Eligibility and Age Requirements
Age Restrictions
- You must be 18 years or older to receive aesthetic treatments
- Valid photo identification may be required to verify age
- We reserve the right to refuse service if age cannot be verified
Medical Eligibility
Certain medical conditions, medications, or circumstances may make you ineligible for treatment, including but not limited to:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active skin infections or conditions
- Certain autoimmune disorders
- Blood clotting disorders
- Allergies to treatment products
- Use of specific medications (e.g., blood thinners)
You must disclose all relevant medical information during your consultation. Failure to do so may result in adverse reactions and voids any liability on our part.
Booking and Appointments
How to Book
Appointments can be made:
Operating Hours
Monday to Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
No after-hours or Sunday appointments available
Consultation Requirements
All new clients must attend a 45-minute initial consultation before receiving treatments. This includes:
- Comprehensive medical history assessment
- Skin analysis using specialized equipment
- Clinical photography for medical records
- Personalized treatment plan
- Discussion of risks, benefits, and alternatives
Appointment Confirmation
You will receive:
- Immediate booking confirmation via email or SMS
- Reminder text 3 days before your appointment
- Final reminder 24 hours before your appointment
Please respond to confirm or reschedule as needed.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Notice Requirements
We require 48 hours' notice for all cancellations and rescheduling requests.
Cancellation Fees
New Clients:
- $50 deposit required to secure initial consultation
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund
- Less than 48 hours notice: Deposit forfeited
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: $250 fee
Existing Clients:
- Deposit varies by treatment type
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund
- Less than 48 hours notice: Deposit forfeited
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: $250 fee
Prepaid Packages:
- 48+ hours notice: No penalty
- Less than 48 hours notice: One treatment deducted
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: One treatment deducted
Late Arrivals
- Up to 15 minutes late: Accommodated within remaining time
- More than 15 minutes late: May require rescheduling with late cancellation fees applied

Payment Terms
Payment Methods

- Cash
- EFTPOS
- Credit and debit cards
- Afterpay (fees apply and will be added to your invoice)

Payment Timing
- Deposits are required at time of booking
- Full payment is due at time of service
- Outstanding balances must be paid before future appointments
Pricing
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST
- Prices are subject to change without notice
- Current pricing available during consultation or upon request
- Package deals and promotional offers may be available
Refund Policy
Refunds are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law:
- Deposits: Refundable with 48+ hours cancellation notice
- Services: No refunds for completed treatments (except for major failures as defined by Australian Consumer Law)
- Products: Refundable within 14 days if unopened and in original condition
- Gift vouchers: Non-refundable but transferable
Informed Consent and Treatment Acknowledgment
Your Responsibilities
By receiving treatment, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You have provided complete and accurate medical history
- You have disclosed all medications, supplements, and allergies
- You understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives to treatment
- You have had the opportunity to ask questions
- You consent to the proposed treatment
- You will follow all pre and post-treatment care instructions
Treatment Outcomes
You understand that:
- Results vary between individuals
- No specific results are guaranteed
- Multiple treatments may be required for optimal results
- Results are temporary and maintenance treatments may be needed
- Complications, though rare, can occur
Contraindications
You must inform us immediately if:
- Your medical condition changes
- You become pregnant or begin breastfeeding
- You start new medications
- You develop allergies or sensitivities
Clinical Photography and Consent
Medical Records
Clinical photographs may be taken for:
- Medical record documentation
- Treatment progress monitoring
- Professional consultation
These photos are stored securely and remain confidential.
Marketing Use
Separate written consent is required for use of your photos in:
- Social media posts
- Website galleries
- Marketing materials
- Educational presentations
You may withdraw consent at any time (medical record photos will be retained).
Note: In accordance with TGA regulations, we do not publish before and after photos of injectable treatments for advertising purposes.
Health and Safety

Adverse Reactions
If you experience any adverse reactions or complications:

Product Sales
Skincare Products
We retail medical-grade skincare products from The Skin Care Doctor brand:
- Products are sold with professional recommendations
- Patch testing may be recommended
- Returns accepted within 14 days if unopened
- No returns on opened products (except for product defects)
Product Advice
Product recommendations are based on your skin assessment and are for guidance only. Individual results may vary.
Gift Vouchers and Packages
Gift Vouchers
- Available for purchase in-clinic or online
- Valid for 12 months from date of purchase
- Non-refundable but transferable
- Cannot be redeemed for cash
- Must be presented at time of service
Treatment Packages
- Prepaid packages offer discounted rates
- Must be used within specified timeframe
- Non-transferable and non-refundable
- Cannot be combined with other offers
Liability and Disclaimers
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for results that do not meet your expectations
- We are not liable for complications arising from failure to disclose medical information
- We are not liable for complications arising from failure to follow pre/post-treatment instructions
- Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot be excluded.

- In accordance with AHPRA guidelines
